With a background in healthcare analytics and clinical research, he has previously held roles at Hackensack Meridian Health and other healthcare systems. Trevor holds a Master's in Computer Science and dual Bachelor's degrees in Biological Sciences and Economics from the University of Chicago.

Mohamed Salem is the Executive Director of AI Product Innovation & Strategy at UHealth, leading the system’s enterprise AI transformation and its strategy for the AI Center of Excellence. With over 20 years of experience driving digital innovation and transformation across major academic medical centers and health systems, he is known for building responsible AI governance, scalable automation platforms, and high‑performing engineering teams that deliver measurable clinical and operational impact. Mohamed holds a Bachelor of Applied Science in Telecommunications and Information Technology from Kean University in New Jersey.

Since 2019, he has collaborated closely with the CISO's office to align information security practices. He holds a Ph.D. in Engineering Science and a CISSP credential, with deep expertise in data classification, ownership, and compliance frameworks.
Ahmed Abuelenein

Ahmed Abuelenein is an AI and healthcare technology leader with more than 24 years of experience spanning biomedical engineering, enterprise architecture, digital innovation, and applied AI. Originally from Egypt and now a U.S. citizen, he earned his degree in Biomedical and Systems Engineering in 2002, where his undergraduate research focused on 3D surgical planning using ultrasound imaging. Today, Ahmed leads and architects AI solutions across healthcare, academic, and enterprise environments, combining strategic leadership with hands-on engineering. His work spans generative AI, intelligent agents, AI security, and cloud architecture, complemented by MIT’s Applied Data Science Program in AI-driven decision-making.

He holds a B.S. in Health Sciences (Medical Informatics) from SUNY Stony Brook and is certified in AI Product Management, with a focus on turning clinical data infrastructure into practical AI tools.

Mariana Ornellas is a digital product leader with more than 20 years of experience across technology, healthcare, media, and digital innovation. As part of UHealth’s AI team, she leads product initiatives that leverage AI and emerging technologies to improve patient and employee experiences and streamline operations. Her work spans intelligent automation, digital patient experiences, and AI-enabled solutions, partnering with clinical, operational, and technology teams to translate business needs into scalable products. Prior to joining the University of Miami, Mariana held product and digital roles at organizations including Yahoo and Apple. She holds an MS from the University of Miami and a BS from the University of Kansas.

Dr. Chuang Wang joined UHealth IT in 2022, specializing in medical imaging, NLP, and deep learning. He earned his Ph.D. in Computer Science from Brunel University London and has led AI initiatives at St. Jude, Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center, and the University of Pennsylvania. His projects have enhanced proton therapy, tumor prediction, and post-transplant outcome forecasting.
